NOWPayments is worth evaluating when broad asset support, API/plugin flexibility and wallet-oriented settlement matter more than a native physical-POS experience.
Merchant fit
NOWPayments provides payment APIs, plugins, payment links and custody/wallet flows for accepting Bitcoin and other supported cryptocurrencies. It is a stronger natural fit for ecommerce and digital businesses than for a restaurant seeking a native counter POS.
Pricing
NOWPayments currently publishes a 1% service fee for payments without conversion and 1.5% for multi-currency, automatic-conversion or fixed-rate payment flows, plus applicable network fees.
Affiliate program
NOWPayments publicly advertises an affiliate program paying 25% of NOWPayments' profit from commissions generated by referred merchants. Its current help documentation says the standard reward period is five years with potential extensions for top affiliates.
