Square Register (2nd generation)
This is the most distinctive Bitcoin checkout experience: customers can initiate Bitcoin from the buyer-facing display and use supported NFC Lightning wallets.
Other supported Square devices
Eligible sellers may use seller-initiated QR workflows on supported Square point-of-sale configurations. Confirm current compatibility in Square’s documentation before purchasing equipment.
Decision rule: buy hardware because it improves the whole checkout operation, not solely to add a Bitcoin logo at the counter.
